Dear friends everybody knows Windows 7 RC was launched. I also using this Operating System. In my machine i need to install a software, but the setup file is an image file. So i tried to install Daemon tool lite, on that time it shows “Setup must restart Windows and continue installation after reboot”

After this message i restarted the machine but the setup wasn’t run. then i searched for the image drive for windows 7 Operating system, and i get Gizmo Central. this tool is very lite and approximately 8Mb size. and also this tool is very user friendly

In this Gizmo manger we can mount ISO, BIN, CUE, NRG files to a virtual CD-ROM drive, VHD files used with Microsoft Virtual PC, and also we can protect vital files from hackers using encrypted HD images. This tool is support for compression and sparse HD images. In the Gizmo manager we can Mount and unmount files from the command line. In the Gizmo manager we can create ISO from entire disk and also burn images to disk.

We can see many of videos in YouTube video sharing site. When you come across interesting clips, it is always a pleasure to share with friends and others the video extract. Now a trick is available for doing this, What you need to do is just add the following tag at the end of the video’s URL: url: #t=01m28s. With this new tag added in, it means the video clip will automatically play at the 1st minute and 28th second. See this example:–

RAVE : Routing Audio via Ethernet

RAVE’s is designed to provide a wealth of information regarding the status of device operation, network communications and audio presence. The front-panel display of the RAVE product consists of four sections: the power indicator, the rotary encoding switches, the network status indicators and the channel metering indicators. we all are well know about the power and network status indicators. In the front-panel rotary encoding switches indicate the current bundle assignment for incoming or outgoing audio is implemented. The actual bundle assignments may differ if they have been altered via the software interface. It is recommended that the rotary switches be configured to duplicate any bundle assignments that are configured via software. This allows visual monitoring when software is unavailable or security protected. The rotary switches can also be used to determine whether the RAVE unit is implementing multicast or unicast bundle delivery. The rotary switches provide the lowest level of connectivity monitoring between the Net devices.

Next one is Channel metering indicator. This includes audio metering as well as status and activity information.

Audio metering: The LEDs’ primary function is to provide audio metering for each of the 16 audio channels. In this mode, the tri-color LEDs (green, yellow and red) provide an indication of the amount of signal present as well as the amount of headroom available.The signal level at which each of the LED’s three colors are illuminated is dependent upon the input sensitivity selected for each channel (analog models).

Error reporting: Each release of the firmware has an associated list of error codes, which identifies a specific cause in the event that a unit is failing a self-test. The error display indicates a 2-digit hexadecimal value that is referenced in the datasheet. This code will be displayed in binary format with red LEDs. Figure shows error code 60 (decimal), which indicates an audio dropout at the transmitter. (60d = 3Ch = 111100).

Bundle assignments: When implementing hardware control of the bundle assignments on the RAVE products, the binary value of the rotary encoders is temporarily displayed on the metering LEDs in red. This can be seen by scrolling through the front-panel rotary switches and viewing the metering display. Each time a switch is adjusted, the new value of the rotary encoders is quickly displayed. In multicast mode, the value displayed directly represents the bundle assignment. In unicast mode, the displayed must be added to 100h to obtain the bundle value.

Bundle activity: One of the most useful features of the metering LEDs on the RAVE products is that they indicate CobraNet connectivity information by providing “bundle activity” status. Once viewed, the difference between actual signal presence and bundle activity is very clear. When in multicast mode, the 8-channel transmit group will be illuminated in dim green so long as only one transmitter occupies any network address. Multicast receivers will also be indicated by the dim green display so long as there is an active transmitter occupying the same bundle assignment. Multiple receivers will be indicated in multicast mode only. In unicast mode, an active transmitter will be displayed in dim green only if there is active receiver on the same network address. Conversely, an active unicast receiver will only be displayed when a valid transmitter is active on the same network address.

A valid transmitter in multicast mode requires that only one transmitter be active on any bundle assignment. A valid multicast transmitter does not require a receiver to be “listening”. In unicast mode, an active transmitter does require that a receiver be listening. Consider the following; multicast traffic is analogous to a radio station such that the station is broadcasting program material whether or not there are listeners tuned in. Unicast traffic is analogous to a telephone call such that a valid connection requires that one initiate the call and that a receiver accept the call. Figure shows a valid multicast transmitter on bank two with signal metering on channels 9, 12 and 15.

AVG technologies launches a new virus tool named AVG link scanner. This one is act as a scanner of we searching the web pages. AVG LinkScanner basically will scan the pages behind all the links that we click or type on our browser prior to entering the site. This tool also scans and evaluates the results of web searches in search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and MSN so users know whether a page is safe before clicking on it. Putty Connection Manager

In the PuTTY connection manager we can manage multiple instance by creating tab for each instance in a single window.

This PuTTY connection manager have many features as follows:-

The PuTTY connection manager requires Microsoft .NET Frame work 2.0 and PuTTY to run. In the PuTTY Connection Manager, access the Tools > Options. In the Options window, select General tab we can see the customization, in that window default language is English we can set as French also. And also we can change theme on that window

Then we can see the PuTTY option there, this is the PuTTY configuration window. in that window it asking foe a location on that EXE file located. and also we can export the PuTTY sessions and save it.

PuTTY connection manager have some hotkeys this we can enable from the Hotkeys option.

Then if we select the other option we can see the log files. This connection manager have a Database and we can take backup of that database.

How to Enable Disk Quota Management in Windows Vista

We can easily running out of disk space if we keep on saving files without performing disk clean up from time to time or move them to external storage device. In order to avoid such incident from happening, proper control of disk usage is important and Windows Vista has a feature that allows you to set quota of disk space usage besides triggering you when the warning limit is being hit.

1. Go to Start, then click Computer.

2. Right click on the volume that you want to enable disk quota, then select Properties.

3. Under Quota tab, click Show Quota Setting button.

4. Click Continue when UAC is displayed.

5. Check Enable Quota Management checkbox, then follow by Deny disk space to users exceeding quota limit.

6. Select Limit disk space to radio button, then configure your desired disk space amount which you want it to be limited to.

7. Configure your desired warning disk space amount.

8. Click OK button to save the setting.

What are the Symptoms of the MSBLAST worm?

You’ll see a screen similar to the one below when you are infected, this will countdown to zero and literally shut down the system completely. The warning will state "This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM". The message will read “Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly.”

We can disable this shutdown by following the steps below during the countdown
1. Click on Start, Run
2. Type in CMD and press ENTER
3. Type in the following command and press Enter SHUTDOWN –A
This will terminate the shutdown, however in most cases the system may be to unstable to try to recover and may need to be rebooted anyway.

How to Remove MSBLAST.exe worm virus

The MSBLAST.A worm infects machines via network connections. It can attack entire networks of computers or one single computer connected to the Internet. The worm exploits a known windows vulnerability that is easily patched, however few systems seem to have this patch installed. It attacks Windows 2000 and Windows XP machines and exploits the DCOM RPC Vulnerability. Depending on the system date it will start a Denial of Service attack against windowsupdate.com, this makes it difficult to download the needed patches and allow the worm to infect as many machines as it can before being disabled. However, as of August 15th, Microsoft decided to kill the windowsupdate.com domain to lessen the impact from this denial of service attack. MSBLAST can also cause widespread system instability including but not limited to Windows Blue screens, out of memory errors, changes to Control Panel, inability to use functions in browser, and many more oddities.
